Leaf Catcher - Downpipe Leaf Trap

Originally I had hoppers at the top of the drain pipes with wire mesh inside to stop the leaves etc. This meant every so often having to get a ladder out to clean them out. Having now installed 3 leaf catchers at waist level (, no more ladder climbing. They have to be regularly checked and cleaned out as the leaves will some times stick to the grill area and can build up. But compared to having to climb a ladder each time this no problem. Great value for what they cost, only wish I had found them years ago.

Was so pleased to find this product a its so simple and practical. Easy to install and works wonderfully well. So easy to see when it needs cleaning out and to just scoop out the debris with your hand and dispose of it. Solved a long term problem for me. Thanks!!

After fitting a black leaf catcher to the front downpipe last year and could see how well it worked I wanted a white one for the rear of house and couldn’t get one anywhere then saw recently Celtic water has started selling white ones so got one for the rear of property and what it stopped going into soakaway was unbelievable this leaf catcher is easy to clean just scoop it out with your hand, wished I’d got them years ago if white had been available then, the kit will fit inside square downpipe I just put some forever white silicone into the viewable corners and job done

I have bought and experimented with practically all available solutions for avoiding blocked gutters, both gutter level and downpipe separators. The gutter level ones still get blocked sooner or later and make it more difficult to clean them. This is easy to install and collects most of the debris, once you have ensured a free flow at roof level. Depending on how good a slope there is your gutter may silt up again eventually but much slower as the debris will have washed down to the leafguard. You can happily install it over a water butt diverter though you may not be able to see so easily when it is full.

We’ve got a problem with moss coming down downpipe and entering soakaway so bought the leaf catcher and it was easy to fit onto downpipe it took about 15 minutes including putting a new wall bracket onto wall which I suggest you purchase before fitting, the leaf catcher is on the front of the house and it doesn’t look stupid or out of place and 24hrs after fitting we had rain and there was moss in it which would of ended up in the soakaway, this is a strong we’ll made item and would highly recommend and I just wished I’d fitted it sooner, wish they made one in white as I want one for the conservatory on back of house.

Having a soakaway and moss on the tiles I going down into it I bought the leaf catcher thinking it was worth a try but it’s excellent easy to fit and strongly made and it catches everything except water going down into soakaway I purchased a new wall clip before fitting but to do the hole job including cutting downpipe took 20 mins can’t recommend highly enough and it isn’t to big to make it look hideous on the front of the house

Fits easily with 68mm downpipe thanks to the adapter supplied. Ideal for collecting leaves off a 12sq m lean-to roof.

Works very well caught all debris and rubbish from gutters I did have gutter guards that did not work just block up but these are much better as there are at a low level so don't need ladders to clean them, delivery was very quick.

This product appears to work efficiently, but it has only beeen installed 6 days.
