If you require to store rainwater runoff as part of your SuDS scheme for sign off for your Sustainable Drainage for planning, we have many solutions available to you.

A recent example, a customer required a 2400L SuDS attenuation system for a new build home in England. The customer had minimal area for storage. A conventional round storage tank simply would take up too much space. They were looking for a compact water storage system that could be placed near the wall of the building.

Space-saving 3000L SuDS attenuation system

Our 1500L RainTankSystem daisy-chained to another 1500L water storage tank was the ideal solution. In total they were able to store 3000L of water with a footprint of just 2.43m wide x 0.78m deep. Perfect for fitting alongside the building.

The RainTankSystem Basic version that the customer chose comes with a Filter Collector Universal, Submersible Pump, and Pump to Turret connector. The Filter Collector Universal connected to the downpipe moves rainwater from the downpipe into the tank. It is a filter, a diverter and an overflow. The submersible pump is installed inside the tank (which ensures the pump is able to run all year round without freezing). It fits easily through the lid at the top of the 1500L tank. The water in the tank also reduces the sound of the pump as it runs. The pump to tank turret connector allows the customer to take the water from the tank to the top of the tank where they can connect it to blue MDPE or similar to run water to their garden or driveway.

The system was quickly designed by our team of water experts and signed off by the customer’s planning office. Delivered the next day and installed within the week. The customers are very happy to be able to move into their new home.
