Product Description
This space saving 200 litre Corner Water Butt is a must for keen gardeners. The inventive design fits neatly into 90 degree internal corners. It comes complete with a stand and hoselock compatible tap.
The planter section at the top has a drain hole. It is ideal for holding pots of your favourite flowers or herbs. We recommend putting some gravel in the bottom of the tray to help protect the drain hole from clogging.
A small lid at the top covers a 4" access hole to aid occasional cleaning when necessary.
With a radius of just 52cm this quarter-circle water butt has a very small footprint. When installed on the stand the overall height of the water butt is approximately 1260mm.
When on the stand, the tap is positioned approximately 30cm above the ground, at a point high enough to get a 6 litre watering can underneath.
Available in three colours: Sandstone, Dark Granite and White Marble. All colours are fully UV protected and colour stable (they will not fade over time).

How to connect the Corner Water Butt to your downpipe
Ideally the rainwater from your roof should be filtered before it goes into your Corner Water Butt. Filtering will prevent the stored rainwater from going "sour" and smelling as the organic load (leaves, moss etc) from your roof will decompose if it is allowed to go into and stay within the water butt.
The Corner Water Butt is moulded from plastic in one piece, however there is a 4" hole (with lid) on the corner top edge that can aid with access for occasional cleaning.
Leaf Catcher
The 4" access hole at the top edge of the water butt could be used to install a Leaf Catcher. This is a coarse filter that will prevent moss, leaves, twigs and feathers from entering your water butt from the downpipe/roof. The Leaf Catcher will need emptying from time to time. This is simply done by scooping out any of the debris that is caught in the open trap.
The Leaf Catcher doesn't provide any overflow functionality. Therefore when your water butt is full, the planter section will flood (by water coming up through the planter drain hole) and the water will over flow the top of the water butt. You can mitigate this a little (in winter etc) by making the water butt into a "slow release" water butt. Simply attach a garden hose to the tap, open the tap slightly and divert via the hose to a flower bed or similar.
Filter Collector - Downpipe Diverter, Filter and Overflow
Another option to fill the Corner Water Butt is to use the 3P Filter Collector. This product is a downpipe diverter, filter and overflow. Depending on where your downpipe is in relation to the position you wish to install your water butt AND whether you can reach the inside of the water butt to tighten a back nut, you will need either the 3P Filter Collector on it's own or the Filter Collector with either a Universal Link kit or a Push-fit link kit. You will need to drill a hole in one of the sides of the water butt to install the Filter collector.
